Actor Park Bo-gum, currently starring as the protagonist Choi Taek in tvN drama “Reply 1988,” is starting to reveal his charm as he shows more of his character’s feelings toward Deok-sun (Hyeri).

In the previous episodes, Bo-gum’s character Choi Taek was portrayed as a quiet boy whose only interest was playing Baduk, or Go, a traditional board game.

With such a character, Park never had an opportunity to appeal to the viewers.

However, in Friday’s episode, Choi Taek turned into a different person, beginning to reveal his feelings for Deok-sun.

On a snowy day, Choi Taek called Deok-sun to ask for a date, taking a very active gesture.

Also, when Choi Taek came back from winning a Baduk competition, he hugged Deok-sun in a very manly way.

The taciturn Choi Taek is beginning to undergo a transformation -- being very expressive toward his love of life and yet very sincere -- which is to be loved by viewers even more.

Park’s performance as Choi Taek is expected to draw more fans with his new charming side.

“Reply 1988” airs every Friday and Saturday at 7:50 p.m. on tvN.
