Jin and Suga of BTS were given a challenge to cook following the commands of their bandmates in the 122nd episode of “Run BTS!”

The two “chefs,” deemed best at cooking among the members, were to listen to instructions from their teammates -- Jin from Jimin and Jungkook, Suga from J-Hope and V -- who only had to rely on a video on making the food.

Jimin tested if the two could hear them well by asking them to repeat after him and make a heart with both arms. Pleased to see them follow orders, Jimin and Jungkook started off first. But when the walkthrough video began, they were taken aback by how the playback was sped up.

Jungkook took the mic and began to shoot off instructions rapidly, sending J-Hope and Jimin into a bout of laughter.

“I cannot hear anything,” muttered Jin, asking Suga to pass the pork.

Jimin and Jungkook were relieved to figure out that the dish was sweet and sour pork, before their eyes went wide to see the person in the video chopping up some kimchi.

The Boyz’s Sunwoo checks in at wee hours

Sunwoo of the Boyz took to V Live well past midnight, telling his younger fans to go to sleep.

“I will turn this off at 3:30, like an alarm,” he said in advance, breaking into a smile when a fan told him that she had been thinking of him ? “how romantic.”

He instinctively reached for the on button without thinking about what he would talk about, he admitted. Looking at a comment, he gave a hint about the photobook project the band did with Dazed Korea to mark the third anniversary of its debut.

“You will see some skin,” smirked the idol, “as if to declare that we’re 3 years old.”

Putting on music that goes well with the late hour as per viewers’ requests, he gave two thumbs up to one who had just joined the fandom. He added that he likes sushi without any specific preference when Ju Haknyeon brought the sushi he ordered in.

Yeosang of Ateez chatted with fans before his private gym session.

“Some of you seemed to have noticed already watching the Gayodaejeon but I’ve brought a surprise,” Ateez’s Yeosang said, turning his head to show that he had the back of his hair cut.

“I liked it long, too, it kept me warm in winter but it was uncomfortable when I wore a turtleneck or when I was sleeping,” he explained.

He was excited about the snow that he saw on his way to start the livestream. When viewers asked him how he spent Christmas, he chuckled and said the band had gone to Daegu by bus on Christmas Eve. The trip was supposed to take four hours, but instead it took double the time because traffic was really bad and it was almost Christmas by the time they arrived and settled into the hotel room.

“I shared the room with Jongho and we looked at each other and said ‘Merry Christmas.’ We slept for a couple of hours before preparing for the stage,” he said.

Monsta X’s Kihyun excited about pending performance

Kihyun of Monsta X brought fans up to speed talking about forthcoming performances.

He has been practicing really hard, so much so that the mirrors in the studio had fogged up and everyone was covered in sweat. The day before he started practice at around noon and when he got home it was almost midnight.

“I usually eat a very heavy lunch and am not hungry at dinner time. But it was so late and with all the dancing, I was famished,” he said. So he ordered a brunch that reminded him of what he had at hotels during the band’s international tour.

Fans asked him to drop hints for the band’s upcoming appearance at an award show Thursday and he said the concept is too unique to say anything. Instead, he played some beats, saying they are all he could give for now.

“You should be looking forward to it,” he said confidently, “we’ve prepared a lot.”
