Suga of BTS kept fans up to speed with a “voice-only” livestream.

“It feels like I haven’t been able to show myself to you … so I came,” he began, telling fans that he took off his orthotics but still could not move his arm freely. His shoulder still hurts for sure and is stiff after the surgery, he said, but it is getting better, albeit slowly.

He was happy that fans liked how his band staged a snowman -- they even gave it a standing microphone -- to fill the void left by his absence at a recent music festival.

“It gave me a big laugh,” said the artist.

Instead of taking to the stage for a myriad of year-end award shows, he has been watching bandmates perform from home this year and it feels tedious, he admitted.

“I’ve watched every single performance,” he said.

“I really want to get back on the stage,” he went on, “all seven of us.”

After V dropped by to say hello -- and boast his arm muscles -- Suga said that he may be able to join Big Hit’s New Year’s Eve Live.

“I won’t be able to perform since it’s physically impossible … I’ll hold the mic with my right arm,” he said.

Kim Seonho bids goodbye to 2020

Kim Seonho went live to spend some time with fans before 2020 ends.

The actor said he came from shooting a commercial and even though they cannot meet in person due to the pandemic, he wanted to stay connected through a livestream.

He carried on a series of missions -- putting heart stickers on his cheeks for fans to capture and striking poses wearing a headband with kitten ears -- while adding his autograph and comments to the pictures for 10 lucky fans, and answered questions sent in by viewers as well.

One fan said that he is funny and lighthearted in variety shows or in behind-the-scenes clips, but seems really serious acting, especially in the emotional scenes.

“It is not easy crying while shooting (a TV drama) with close to a hundred staffers, all the eyes on me,” he admitted. He tries to immerse himself in the situation, making it real as possible, and focuses on the co-star in front of him, he added.

GOT7’s JB enjoys late-night chat

JB of GOT7 took to Naver’s V Live from home, broadcasting in real time for the first time in a long while.

The room was dark with just enough light to make out his silhouette, and he explained that he usually keeps it that way when he is home. He gently turned down requests to turn up the lights, saying he wants to maintain the ambience for the day, and lit incense instead.

Some fans asked him how he felt performing “Just Right,” the band’s 2015 song, at a recent award show. He chuckled and said: “Ahh … I’ve gotten old. I could pull off being cute then but now I need to make effort.” He would want to do more “cute” songs like “A,” said the musician, rather than sexy tunes, since it is more fun and seems to have greater impact.

As for the younger idols’ cover of “Hard Carry” that aired recently, he admitted that he had mixed feelings. It was amazing that their song was chosen, but at the same time he felt old, he laughed, covering his face.

Ateez’s elders look back at 2020

Kim Hongjoong and Park Seonghwa of Ateez went through what they have done over the past year.

The year 2020 is almost over, but they could not let it come to an end as is, so they prepared something, they said excitedly. It could be a video or music, added Kim, but one thing for sure is that Atiny, their official fandom community, will love it, said Park, finishing the sentence.

“It is something we’ve never done,” said the eldest two bandmates, asking fans to keep their expectations high and wait until 6 p.m.

Park suggested they chronicle the activities starting from “Answer,” the lead track from “Treasure Epilogue: Action to Answer,” which came out in January.

“I was so nervous,” recalled Park of the first time they performed it, putting on a live performance at a big stage for a music show.

“It was a legendary performance,” said Park, and it was great that they could do it with their fans physically there.
