Korean actor Lee Joon-gi is scheduled to return to his filming schedule Thursday for the upcoming TV vampire drama “The Scholar Who Walks the Night,” following a nose injury last week, according to his agency.

Lee sustained a nose fracture, for which he received an operation, last Wednesday while shooting the TV drama.

His costar Lee Yu-bi was also injured, reportedly in the same accident, and was hospitalized for procedures for her injured hip. Actress Lee was diagnosed with a condition that doctors diagnosed as a herniated lumbar disk.

Lee Yu-bi remains in hospital and has not yet returned to the set, though her agency said last Thursday that she will return after about a week.

“The Scholar Who Walks the Night” is a fantasy romance about vampires and scholars living in Korea’s Joseon era and is based on the Web comic of the same name.

Both Lee Joon-gi and Lee Yu-bi play major characters. Other actors include Kim So-eun, Lee Soo-hyuk and TVXQ singer Changmin.

“The Scholar Who Walks the Night” is scheduled to premiere after current MBC drama “Warm and Cozy” in July.
