'Avengers 2' sells over 4 million tickets in a week in Korea
The sequel to American blockbuster "Avengers" has sold 4 million tickets in South Korea since it opened in theaters Thursday.
The film's distributor, Walt Disney, and the Korean Film Commission reported ticket sales of almost 4.1 million on Wednesday morning.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" far outranks other foreign films "Interstellar," "Avatar" and "Frozen," which achieved the same box office figures in 10, 11 and 15 days respectively.

The "Avengers" sequel remains the most popular film choice for Labor Day on Friday and Children's Day on Tuesday.
The film, which has yet to be released in North America, grossed over $201 million in ticket sales worldwide Monday, with Korea ranking as its top global market at 14 percent of all sales.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron," the most successful foreign film debut in Korean history, features a Korean actress in a supporting role and was partially shot in locations in Seoul.
