Korean actress Claudia Kim, who stars in the blockbuster "Avengers" sequel, has discussed her supporting role in the superhero film and future acting projects.

Kim plays Dr. Helen Cho, a gifted Korean scientist, in the American action film "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which hit Korean theaters Thursday.

"Dr. Cho is the most fragile character among the superheroes, but her knowledge is a critical superpower to them," Kim told Cosmopolitan Korea.

The Korean actress said director Joss Whedon reminded her to be confident because her role was "necessary" to the film.

Kim also discussed her costars with Cosmopolitan Korea.

She said that actor Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk, was "humble" and often cracked "bizarre jokes like a real scientist."

Chris Hemsworth, who plays the mythological prince Thor, has a "cute side" with a steady gaze and fondness for winks, according to Kim.

Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr., the Hollywood actor behind superhero Iron Man, was laidback like a "genius billionaire" on-set.

Kim is currently rigorously training for intensive action scenes in the second season of the upcoming American TV drama series "Marco Polo," in which she plays a warrior princess.

"I take part in high-intensity workouts every day. I do jiu jitsu four times (a week), horse-ride twice (a week) and physically train twice (a week) -- sometimes I do two of those on the same day," said Kim.

The former model said the production team meticulously monitors cast members’ physique, with regular dietary, weight and muscle mass check-ups.

The actress also said in the future she wants to meet actresses Marion Cotillard and Anne Hathaway, whose performances have inspired her.

"I hope to become someone who can inspire others (through my acting)," said Kim, who goes by the name Soohyun in Korea.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" was the fastest-selling foreign film in Korean cinematic history Sunday, exceeding 3 million ticket sales within four days of its release in Korea.
