K-pop singer IU’s 2016 New Year’s Resolution is once again the center of attention on social media.

IU was in Japan’s Nagoya on Jan. 23, 2016, for her fan event “A Happy IU Year 2016.”

She was asked by the emcee how she is planning to personally evolve in the new year.

IU, stumped for an answer, tried to find the right words until she gave up and instead proclaimed that she is not a Pokemon and cannot evolve each year.

A recording shows the audience breaking into a loving laughter and the emcee commenting that IU has left a memorable line.
