Lee Joon-gi and Lee Ji-eun of “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” won the title of Best Couple at 2016 SAF SBS Drama Awards, Saturday.

The Lee-Lee couple played the Goryeo Dynasty Prince Wang So and his fated lover, Hae Soo.

Upon being awarded the trophy, Lee Joon-gi made the trite comment that he’s traveled time and space from the Goryeo era to be reunited with Hae-soo.

The emcee jokingly called for a doctor to take in a mentally troubled patient.

Lee Ji-eun, who is better known as IU, thanked the senior co-star saying that she was able to receive the prize because of him.

Lee Joon-gi also nabbed the Hallyu Star Award and the Top 10 Star Award.

For the Hallyu Star Award, Lee said, “This is a weighty award,” adding, “Hallyu is a collective work rather than one individual’s doing. I believe this is all thanks to the viewers who love the Korean culture and dramas.”

“It’s not easy to like another country so much. Every day is a blessing for me because so many overseas fans love Korean culture. I want to return the love,” Lee said.

Lee, who received the award without Jun, said, “Nuna (Jun) could not come today due to her underwater filming schedule. I’ll personally make sure this massaging machine gets to her safely.”

Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin were given another prize for Best Kiss Scene.
