Actress Song Hye-kyo from the smash-hit TV drama “Descendants of the Sun” could appear as a guest on the KBS entertainment show “2 Days & 1 Night.”

In Sunday’s episode the show’s regular members -- Kim Jun-ho, Kim Jong-min, Defconn, Yoon Shi-yoon, Jung Joon-young and Cha Tae-hyun -- went on a trip to Taebaek city, Gangwon Province, where the film set for “Descendants of the Sun” is.

At the drama set, open to tourists and visitors since August, the group carried out parodied acts of the drama’s popular scenes.

Cha Tae-hyun then made a surprise phone call to Song Hye-kyo, who was the main actress on the show.

During the phone call, Kim Jun-ho told Song that she should visit the show some time in the future, to which Song replied, “Please invite me next time.”

Guests on “2 Days & 1 Night” are usually booked through the regular members’ connections. This phone call got fans of the show excited by the prospect of seeing the famous actress feature on the widely popular entertainment show.

Producer Yoo Il-yong of “2 Days & 1 Night” also told local media that he would very much like to have Song in the group as a guest to go on a trip together.

Recently Park Bo-gum from “Reply 1988” had a well-received appearance on the show.
