Girls‘ Generation member Tiffany will no longer be the face of the cosmetic brand IPKN. The K-pop star, who had been endorsing IPKN since 2013, has been replaced by two top models.

IPKN unveiled a photo on their official Instagram and Twitter on Wednesday, with the caption ’Who‘s Next?’ which immediately provoked fans to criticize IPKN‘s sudden dismissal of Tiffany over a social media mistake.

IPKN quickly responded by asserting that the recent controversy surrounding Tiffany did not influence their decision. They explained that Tiffany‘s contract with the brand ended in June, and they wrapped up their last photoshoot in July.

Following the decision to replace Tiffany, IPKN unveiled top models Ji Hyun-jung and Jin Jung-sun as the new faces of their brand on Thursday. In addition, they released a new promotional ad with the two top models.

There had also been escalating calls for Tiffany to leave “Unnies’ Slam Dunk” for her indiscretion, as well as a number of hypercritical insults, even from news anchors and broadcasting stations.

Tiffany has been the target of heavy criticism since she posted an update on one of her social media channels which included an image of the rising sun flag on Sunday, the day before South Korea’s National Liberation Day. She has since posted an apology, but it appears she is suffering from the repercussions of her accidental unpatriotic actions.
