Actor Kang Ha-neul dons a Korean traditional gown worn by nobles in the upcoming historical period drama, “Moon Lovers.” Teaser photos have been released to promote the show.

“Moon Lovers,” is based on the hit Chinese novel of the same name and will begin airing this September, with singer-actress IU and actor Lee Joon-gi as the main leads.

Kang exudes royalty with his serious facial expression and purple gown made of thick Korean traditional silk and with golden details embellished on its surface. He is set to play an imperial prince during the Goryeo Dynasty with a fictional twist. His hair is tied high-up in a bun with ornaments to represent his character’s status.

Those working on the drama commented, “Kang has been putting immense effort in understanding his character?he will be able to portray the character in the most charming way possible.”
