Jung Il-woo’s new rom-com enjoys popularity in China

Korean actor Jung Il-woo’s new Korean-Chinese Web drama “High-end Crush” is enjoying rising popularity in China.

The first two episodes of the drama, which were uploaded to the websites for China’s Sohu and Sohu TV on Saturday, have garnered a total of 12 million viewers since their release, public relations agency The Tic Toc said on Monday.

The drama, jointly produced by China’s Sohu Inc. and Korea’s Kim Jonghak Production, centers on the romance between CEO Choi Se-hoon, played by Jung, and innocent country girl Yoo Yi-ryung, played by actress Jin Se-yun.

The drama will also be broadcast in Korea sometime this month. The exact date has yet to be confirmed.
