Iconic Hallyu star Lee Jong-suk was awarded the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the 2015 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Award held Thursday in Seoul, for his contribution to the spread of hallyu.

Sporting a long black jacket over a formal business outfit, Lee thanked his fans for continuous love and support.

Held each year, the government-run awards honor those who have made outstanding achievements in entertainment and helped the spread of the Korean Wave. This year, many hallyu stars, including JYJ, IU, Girls’ Day, Park Shin-hye, Lee Jong-suk and Jun Ji-hyun made the list of awardees.
