Crime-action film “Veteran” overtook independence movement flick “Assassination” on Saturday.

Korean Film Council logged 61,000 ticket sales for “Veteran” on Saturday alone, topping up the movie’s cumulative sales record to 12.7 million.

“Assassination” attracted 4,200 moviegoers on the same day and came short at 12.6 million.
