Lee Sun-kyun to show ‘different type’ of lawyer in ‘The Advocate’
Actor Lee Sun-kyun will show a whole new kind of lawyer in the upcoming crime-action film “The Advocate: A missing body,” he said at a press conference held Wednesday.
He will be fashionable, to start off. Lee was in character as he entered the conference hall dressed smartly in a tight-fitted suit with casual sneakers. Adding to the flair were his sunglasses, which he wore despite the indoor setting of the conference.

“We wanted the character to immediately shake the preestablished notion of a lawyer everyone has. A sprightly, humorous and energetic individual with an interest in fashion and trendy music,” said Lee.
Lee’s character Byun Ho-sung is said to be set to dismantle the stereotypical image of a lawyer.
Armed with unswaying confidence that “winning is justice” and a firm belief that the star in a courtroom is neither the plaintiff nor the defendant, but the attorney, Byun Ho-sung is a shrewd and meticulous ace lawyer.

The movie will show him taking on an unforeseen pitfall in his career.
Rising rookie actress Kim Go-eun from this year’s award-winning “Coinlocker Girl” will play a rival prosecutor.
“The Advocate: A missing body” will open nationwide on Oct. 8.
