K-pop singer and rapper CL, from girl group 2NE1, will throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game in Los Angeles, Thursday.

The baseball teams competing are the Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers. Both teams have a South Korean player -- pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin plays for the LA Dodgers, while outfielder Choo Shin-soo plays for the Texas Rangers.

CL was photographed practicing ahead of the game wearing an LA Dodgers baseball cap and jacket, Wednesday. The singer, 24, also shared a photo with baseball player Ryu.

The singer’s appearance coincides with the fourth edition of Korea Night, presented by the LA branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, at Dodgers Stadium.

Korean rock band YB will also perform American songs and both the Korean and American national anthems before the contest.

CL will also be present at the KTO booth in the stadium at 7:30 p.m. and will hold a joint autograph-signing session with YB to the right of the baseball field from 8 p.m., according to reports.

CL is currently gearing up for a solo career in the U.S., and has already released a collaborative single with American DJ Diplo.
