Lee Joon-gi fractures nose while shooting new drama

Actor Lee Joon-gi has sustained a nose fracture while shooting the upcoming vampire TV drama “The Scholar Who Walks the Night,” his agency confirmed Wednesday.

“Lee Joon-gi was injured in the early hours on Wednesday morning while shooting the MBC drama series. He underwent an operation for his nose fracture on Wednesday afternoon,” said his agency Namoo Actors.

Lee has cancelled all schedules for the immediate future, including his scheduled attendance at a Shanghai film festival on Saturday, his agency said.

“The Scholar Who Walks the Night” is scheduled to premiere in July. The TV drama, based on the eponymous Web comic, is a fantasy romance about vampires and scholars living in Korea‘s Joseon era.

Lee Joon-gi is the drama’s main actor. Other actors include Lee Yu-bi, Kim So-eun, Lee Soo-hyuk and TVXQ singer Changmin.
