Stars who attended IU’s 10th anniversary Seoul concert
IU held her 10th anniversary concert titled “dlwlrma” in Seoul on Saturday, attracting about 12,000 concertgoers to the nearly three-hour event.
Celebrities are also among her fans, with high-profile stars like Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo spotted at her concert last year.
Here are some celebrities who have proved to be huge fans of the “Bbi Bbi” singer.
1. Yebin of DIA
The DIA member shared her excitement at meeting IU backstage, sharing selfies of the two via her social media account on Sunday.
In the photos, IU and Yebin are beaming, with the former holding a bundle of flowers.
She captioned the photo, “I went to the concert of IU, whom I love and respect so much. I was so happy to have been there. I was also very touched as she remembered me and recognized me. I won’t be able to forget that moment. Also, it was the day I once again decided to grow up and become an amazing singer like her.”
2. Actress Kang Han-na
Kang, one of the closest friends of IU, also visited the singer backstage.
In a photo Kang posted on her Instagram account on Sunday, IU happily poses with Kang while holding a bundle of flowers and clad in dark-grey boxy T-shirt.
Kang and the singer have been best friends since working together on the set of “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo.” Kang once said in an interview that she often hangs out with IU at good restaurants, calling her “a cute and lovely person.”
3. g.o.d
IU managed to invite g.o.d, which she has often called her lifetime role model and star, as a guest to her solo concert.
When IU joined g.o.d, a long-running boy band that debuted in 1999, onstage, her voice trembled with joy.
After bowing to the five-piece act several times, IU told fans, “I can’t believe that this really happened. My music always had g.o.d in it, as the band played the biggest piece that completed my musical life, emotion.”
She asked the crowd to take photos of her and g.o.d as much as possible, proudly saying of the five men, “Everyone, these are my older brothers!”
Stars like Park Sol-mi, popular songwriter Kim Ea-na and award-winning violinist Ray Chen have also attended IU’s concert.
IU’s concert series kicked off in Busan in October. It will take the singer to other Asian cities including Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Taipei through December.
