iKON’s ‘Love Senario’ video hits 200m views

YG Entertainment boy band iKON’s megahit song “Love Scenario” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube late Wednesday.

The agency posted a celebration poster to the group’s official Instagram account and the agency’s blog.

The lead track of iKon’s “Return” LP, “Love Scenario” released on Jan. 25 and reigned atop local digital music platforms for 43 days after its release, making it the “longest No. 1 of the year.”

The track has proved popular globally, with the group topping 17 countries’ iTunes albums charts and staying No. 1 in the K-pop section for four consecutive weeks on China’s biggest digital music streaming site QQ Music.

IKON released four albums in 2018: “Return” in January, “Rubber Band” in March, “New Kids: Continue” in August and “New Kids: The Final” last month. With tracks “Love Scenario,” “Killing Me” and “Goodbye Road,” the group has reigned atop the charts 19 times this year.

This month, the group will be meeting fans across the region on an Asian concert tour: Singapore on Sunday, Manila in Nov. 11, Jakarta in Nov. 18 and Hong Kong in Nov. 25. Along with the tour, on Dec. 31, the group is planning to release a repackaged album.
