On Saturday, BTS rewrote the history of K-pop with its first-ever stateside stadium concert at Citi Field in New York.

As much as the show capped off BTS’ successful North American leg of its “Love Yourself” world tour, fans took the time to walk down memory lane, going back as early as 2014.

Longtime members of Army, the band’s fan group, will know that about four years ago BTS was tasked in a mission to hand out flyers on the streets of Los Angeles for its free concert. The gig was part of Mnet reality TV show “American Hustle Life,” where the band was tasked to attract 200 people for the concert.

The group’s small gig in Los Angeles, which was BTS’ first stateside performance, became one of the most meaningful moments on its timeline in the US.

Elated by how much the group has achieved in the four years since, fans dug up an ancient guideline for the 2014 Los Angeles show uploaded to BTS’ official Twitter account. From July 2014, the tweet read, “Entrance will be starting from 6 PM. 200 people can come, ‘free’ entrance. The name will be <SHOW & PROVE Concert>."

One fan account posted a tribute guideline for the Citi Field concert Saturday, reading, “Entrance will be starting from 5 PM. 50k people can come, ‘no free’ entrance. The name will be <LOVE YOURSELF TOUR.>

Touched by the change in figures and concert venues -- testaments to BTS’ global success -- fans have been buzzing with comments. Tweets included “Starting from 2014 ‘200 people can come free entrance’ and 2018 now millions” and “From free concerts to having huge venues and tickets sold out in minutes, you’ve shown us what you truly got and now look what you guys are achieving. I’m so proud.”

BTS will be in Europe from Oct. 9-20 as part of its ongoing world tour and will hold a dome tour of Japan that includes Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka in November.
