K-pop girl group Apink rallied around member Kim Nam-joo who is currently embroiled in a controversy about her appearance.

The group appeared as full six-member act on a “LieV” broadcast which celebrities host while lying down on Wednesday.

A photo posted on the group’s social media account Friday sparked questions over weather Kim has had plastic surgery.

People suggested that the Apink member looked too different in the photo to consider it as a result of losing weight or a change in makeup style. The agency of the girl group neither confirmed nor denied the issue saying, “We have nothing to say.”

On Wednesday’s broadcast, Kim talked about the group celebrating its seventh year anniversary.

“It feels like we’re having a new beginning. I wish to freshen up and show my new facets,” she said. “It feels like a miracle to tell you my stories and sing ‘Miracle.’” “Miracle” is the group’s latest single set to be released at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Singer Jeong Se-woon expressed his wish to appear on a cooking-related show in a live interview held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

As the singer has appeared on various variety shows such as JTBC’s “Begin Again 2” and MBC’s “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets,” he was asked what it is about him that made the producers seek him out.

Jeong found the reason from the producers’ perspective.

“I hold small V app broadcasts. As I write scripts myself, I became to have an interest in the production,” he said. “I guess the producers had seen the possibility that I would be able to fulfill the role or something that they had in their mind when planning or producing.”

“I love cooking so I hope to appear on cooking-related shows. I like both cooking and eating,” he added. “I really want to do a cooking show.”

Actress Baek Jin-hee communicated with fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

In the broadcast held in collaboration with Christian humanitarian aid organization Compassion and Naver’s donation service Happybean, the actress had to accomplish a mission -- making a card -- to secure a donation.

She finished the mission in only 17 minutes but kept holding the broadcast saying, “I hope the kids have dreams and courage. I have to get more ‘hearts.’ I can’t wrap up here.”

Baek talked about her first volunteer experience in Thailand.

“I realized that kids’ dreams are all similar. They are things such as teacher, doctor, nurse and police officer,” she said. “Because they aren’t exposed to TV or books so often, there’s a limit in their knowledge, I was told.”

“When we think about Thailand, many people imagine the emerald-colored beach. But the (kids) could not draw the sea as they’ve never seen it. I was so shocked,” she said. “Also, they’ve never had a checkup in a formal hospital so they didn’t know what the hospital toys are representing.”

The actress was confirmed to star on the third season of tvN’s drama “Let’s Eat.”

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
