Boy band BTOB’s Changseok on Wednesday hosted a live broadcast on Naver’s V app to talk with fans.

“There hasn’t been much of an opportunity to see you guys and talk freely, besides at concerts,” Changseok told viewers.

When asked by fans why he prepared a talk show instead of a music performance, he said “It’s almost the end of the year, and I’d like to take a moment to reflect and look at how far we have come along. It might make you guys bored, I guess.”

Through the app’s chat function, fans also provided some key words that they felt best represent the BTOB member. Among them was Melody, a fan club of the group, which caught the attention of Changseok.

“We share an inseparable bond with you guys and Melody gives reasons for us to hit the stage.”

Changseok was also asked whether he had ever been disappointed by fans, to which he replied, “There are obviously some rules that each of us should follow, but I’m sure Melody has always adhered to them, which I really appreciate.”

Before ending the live broadcast, he added “popularity can easily rise and fall like a wave, but when we reach the top, I hope you guys will be with us.”

New pop band The East Light recently broadcast its first live music performance on the V app.

The group made a surprise visit to Mokdong High School, which was suddenly filled with live performances by the band, starting with Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away.” Soon after the impromptu music event began, more fans gathered to cheer them on.

Lee Seok-cheol, the leader of the band, thanked the audience for their support and said “Please find us and our performances every Wednesdays at 8 p.m. through our music channel, entitled “Music Delivery” via the V app. Thank you so much.”

The members of the group were all selected through audition programs and other variety shows, garnering much attention from K-pop fans.

The band made its debut on Oct. 9 at the Asia Song Festival in Busan, which attracted 38,000 concertgoers.
