Jota of Madtown said in a recent interview that he learned a lesson from filming for network channel MBC‘s variety show “Real Men.”

In the interview with OSEN released Monday, Jota said he was met with barriers in understanding the setting in Korean military bases, though he thought he was used to group settings.

“I was put in a group setting for about eight years (with fellow Madtown members)” he said. “But the group setting in the Army was way different.”

He also said he “could get a glimpse of what comradeship means” during the filming that kicked off in late September.

Jota was trained in the Korean Army 28th Cavalry Division along with actors Lee Si-eon, Shim Hyung-tak, Sung Hyuk, Kim Bo-sung and comedian Yoon Hyung-bin.

When asked about how he felt after the scene, Jota said he could become a real man on set.

“Real Men” featuring Jota will premier in mid-October.
