Hallyu stars actor Park Hae-jin and singer Hwang Chi-yeul won the best actor and popular singer awards, respectively, in Chinese LeTV Awards held in Beijing on Wednesday.

“Thank you for inviting me here to Beijing. I will try my best to do more activities both in Korea and China. Thank you,” Park spoke in Chinese in an acceptance speech.

He also added that the prize was so meaningful since it made him feel like he got the credit for his acting ability by Chinese fans, in an interview with local media outlets.

Meanwhile, the singer, who ranked in third place on the music competition show “I am a Singer,” stated his acceptance speech, saying “I am really glad and happy. I could show off my singing skills due to support from fans. I will always do my best when performing on stage.”

Later, he sang two Chinese songs, including “Change Me” and “How Much I Love You.”

The 5th anniversary show is one of largest awards events in China, and many top stars from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong attended.

Another popular Korean actor, Lee Min-ho, also attended the show.
