The embattled actor Lee Byung-hun and his wife Lee Min-jung are reportedly together in the U.S., dispelling the speculation that their relationship deteriorated following a recent scandal involving the actor.

According to local news reports on Wednesday, the couple were spotted leaving a bakery after buying some bread in Los Angeles.

The actress’ agency MSteam Entertainment confirmed that they are spending time in L.A., though they did not depart from Korea together.

“Lee Min-jung left for L.A. around last week not on an official schedule,” said an official from the agency.

The actor made his way to the U.S. on Oct. 20 to attend events as an honorary ambassador to California.

The couple’s next steps have come under the spotlight since the 44-year-old actor sued young celebrities for blackmailing him in late August.

The actor claimed that model Lee Ji-yeon, 24, and K-pop girl band GLAM member Kim Dae-hee, 20, threatened to disclose video footage that allegedly contains a lewd conversation he had with the women if Lee did not pay them 5 billion won ($4.7 million).

With the investigation underway, the case saw a new development after the model Lee raised fresh claims in the first hearing that she had been dating the actor since June.

The Hollywood star and South Korean actress Lee Min-jung have been married since August 2013.
