The members of Enhypen held an online party to mark Jake’s birthday.

His birthday actually was the day before, but the band had had an activity and the party had to wait, the performers explained, shouting that they wanted to livestream so badly.

For Jake, who’d just turned 18, the members tried their hand at making cake. They were a little apologetic toward Heeseung, as they hadn’t made any cakes for his recent birthday.

“This will be the last birthday as a teen, then,” said Jake, reading a fan’s comment. Under the Korean system of calculating ages, he is 19.

The boys solemnly put on gloves and got busy decorating each of their small cakes. The birthday boy told the bandmates that they should not try too hard, and with a sheepish grin acknowledged that he was extremely happy that the first track from their debut album was unveiled on his birthday.

“All the more so since you did the narration,” Jay reminded Jake.

TXT’s Beomgyu, Taehyun share playlist

Beomgyu and Taehyun of Tomorrow X Together listened to the songs from their playlist together with fans.

During a recent fan meet session via video calls, quite a few fans had song requests for Beomgyu.

“But every time, my mind just went blank … and it has been gnawing at me,” he confided, explaining the idea for the day’s content. His first pick was offonoff’s “Bath.” He’d fallen for the song when he first heard it during a dance class, as his dance instructor had used it to demonstrate poppin’ dance.

“I listen to it when I’m alone in my room,” said the idol before Taehyun pointed out that he shared a room with Soobin.

Taehyun wanted to change the mood slightly for the viewers and changed the order of his recommendations, putting on Clean Bandit’s “Symphony” first.

“This song helped me when I was working on the music,” he said. He really cares about rhymes when he writes lyrics, he explained, and the song is a great example.

The Boyz’s Sunwoo holds marathon chat

Sunwoo of The Boyz livestreamed for almost three hours even though he started in the wee hours.

He told viewers in advance that he would have to keep the music on. He had skipped dinner and ordered fried chicken even though he was alone, admitting that was rare for him. He had a strong preference for a certain brand, he confided, adding that it was actually the only one he enjoyed.

Trying to catch up with the quick inflow of live comments, the performer gave advice and encouragement to viewers and also asked if they liked the TikTok video he’d posted. He covered Monsta X’s “Love Killa” and was happy that Minhyuk had complimented him on it in person.

“I’ll share my worries when I’ve got my own,” so that they can talk it over together, he promised, saying he thought it was really precious that they could do so.

GOT7’s Yugyeom celebrates birthday

Yugyeom of GOT7 took to V Live from his private studio to thank fans for remembering his birthday.

He’d turned on Instagram Live earlier but had been cut off due to an unstable connection, he explained apologetically, assuring fans that he’d seen and heard their messages, whether in the form of an ad or a donation or just wishing him a happy birthday.

He shook his head to ruffle up his curly hair. He’d had two perms, first to shoot the jacket cover and the music video, and a stronger one as his hair straightens out easily.

“I’m really grateful, from the bottom of my heart, that you always celebrate my birthday for me, what little person like me,” said the musician. The love from his fans and the gratitude he felt always kept him going and pushed him to be better.

“I probably am the most congratulated and the happiest person in the world, at least for today,” he said with a huge smile.
