Mark of NCT 127 kept fans up to speed about his “wild” birthday party.

After singing “Happy Birthday” to himself, he thanked fans for spending his 22nd birthday with him.

“As soon as the clock hit midnight, my bandmates brought cake and started celebrating my birthday together,” he said.

Since it was raining heavily, they played random games at home. Doyoung bought a melon-flavored ice cream cake and someone suggested, first as a joke, that whoever lost the next game should get his face jammed into the cake. The first victim was Doyoung, and he bravely kept his word while the rest of them took pictures, laughing. It was too much fun and everyone agreed that they should try it one more time.

“To be honest with you, we thought it would be really funny if Doyoung did it again, so we sort of teamed up, but there was a miscommunication and it didn’t go as planned. But Doyoung somehow got a whiff of it and protested so we had another round of rock, paper, scissors. This time for real. But Doyoung lost again,” Mark explained, covering his face at the memory.

Seventeen’s Hoshi catches up with fans

Hoshi of Seventeen went live from his bed, peeking at the camera from under his Mickey Mouse blanket.

“I will give you five minutes and answer any questions you ask,” he said. The questions ranged from what his recent favorite song is (Charlie Puth’s “Girlfriend”) to how he can copy his bandmate Seungkwan so well. (“It comes naturally after living together for so long.”) He also assured fans that Seungkwan is recovering from his ankle injury.

The idol lamented the breakout that had popped up over his upper lip that morning -- “it even hurts!” -- and tried to cover it with his fingers, then his hand. But he gave up when fans told him touching it would only make it worse.

“Please photoshop this if you are posting a captured image of me from this livestream,” he implored.

Hoshi admitted that he was starving and wondered if the viewers could hear his stomach rumble.

“I’m in the mood for some Korean food. Tell me what you ate. Everything,” he said.

Kwon Eunbi and Kang Hyewon of IZ*ONE took to V Live from their room after an activity.

“This is the first time we are doing V Live together, just the two of us,” commented Kwon.

They talked about celebrating Kim Chaewon’s 21st birthday the day before.

“I went to get a cake for her with Minju and saw an electronic billboard featuring Chaewon. We said hello to her and took a video of it,” said Kwon.

“I’ve been meaning to tell you that I went to see all the billboards on my birthday,” said Kang, whose birthday was July 5. She went through the pictures on her phone and showed off a few that had been taken in front of the ads.

The roommates also talked about first impressions.

“I didn’t know anyone at the (survival audition) program but heard about Eunbi, how pretty she is,” Kang recalled. “When I found her I saw that it was true and I kept following her with my eyes.”

NU'EST's Ren says hello after musical

Ren of NU’EST said hello to fans on V Live around midnight, talking to them in the dark after a musical theater performance.

Admitting that it had been quite a while, he said he didn’t look as good as he’d hoped and that his blond hair made him look like a house with a thatch roof.

“I’m having quite a lot of skin troubles these days,” he went on. “Maybe because I’m tired ... you know how you need stamina to perform for a musical, so I’ve been eating a lot. Maybe that’s why.”

The idol has been starring in “Jamie” since July. Some fans thanked him for addressing Love, the band’s official fandom community, during curtain calls.

“You don’t know how much I want to call out to you, Love,” he said. “But I’m afraid it might not be appropriate.” His fans would know that without him saying so, but he wanted to tell them just in case, he added.
