Tzuyu of Twice flaunts cellphone necklace

Dahyun and Tzuyu talked about the cellphone holder necklace their bandmate Mina had made.

During the group’s V Live broadcast on Saturday, Dahyun greeted fans first, saying Tzuyu was right next to her. “I can’t show my face right now, as I’m barefaced and a bit swollen,” said Tzuyu, adding that she would talk off camera.

Dahyun, excited to talk to fans after such a long time, also boasted that she liked her makeup today and wanted to show it to the group’s fandom, called Once.

After some small talk, Tzuyu showed off a colorful beaded cellphone necklace, saying her bandmate Mina had made it for her.

Wearing the necklace, Dahyun said, “This one’s really handy. We always spot a bunch of these necklaces on the sofa before shooting as every member has one.”

“I also couldn’t understand why people buy this kind of necklace, but it’s actually really nice,” added Tzuyu.

Twice is set to hold its first online concert Aug. 9 via S.M. Entertainment’s streaming service Beyond Live.

GFriend transforms into coven for ‘Apple’

The members of GFriend surprised fans by transforming into six beautiful witches in the new dance practice video for the group’s latest single, “Apple.”

In the clip shared on the band’s channel, the girls dance to the song in different Halloween costumes. Although they are wearing heavy makeup and not-so-comfortable outfits, they smoothly complete the dance moves one by one.

Moody dance number “Apple” is the title track from GFriend’s new EP, “Song of the Sirens.”

The six-track album is the group’s second release since its agency, Source Music, was acquired by Big Hit Entertainment.

Kang Daniel celebrates 1st anniversary with new hair

Kang Daniel celebrated his 1st anniversary as a soloist in his new look.

After an online fan meeting Saturday evening, Kang took to V Live to thank fans and express his feelings about the event.

“We paid a lot of attention to the details at the fan meeting. I hope you liked it. I’m also very satisfied with my live performances, especially ‘Touch Me,’” he said, adding that he’d dyed his hair black for the first time for the show.

Sporting pitch-black hair and a matching shirt, Kang shared that he’d always wanted to try black hair.

He went on to thank fans for watching the broadcast on Saturday night and for enabling him to release several albums in a year.

“Yesterday, before starting the fan event, I was watching all of my music videos from this year and I couldn’t believe I’d done all of them in one year. Thanks to all of you,” he added.

Kang is set to release his second EP, “Magenta,” Aug. 3 and his prerelease track “Waves” on Monday.

Rocket Punch gets ready for summer music release

Rookie girl group Rocket Punch is coming out with new music this summer.

Fronted by “Juicy,” the group’s upcoming album “Blue Punch” tunes into the seasonal vibe, with its blue-tinged teaser depicting the members painting an undersea scene on a white canvas.

The vibrantly colored painting featured a castle, divers, sharks and tropical fish.

The six-track album contains songs like “Blue Punch,” “Summer Night,” “Twinkle Star” and “The The.”

The six-piece act debuted in August last year with “Pink Punch.”
