V went live from his hotel room in the United States, where BTS is staying before the premiere of “Black Swan,” the early release from its fourth full-length album.

After making faces while dancing and singing along with a number of songs from his playlist, V muttered that he had made it 10 minutes without saying anything.

“I’ve been thinking about what to do to hang out with you Armys ... maybe I should read through the comments posted on Weverse,” he said, referring to Big Hit Entertainment’s online fan community platform.

But the musician fell back into listening to music.

“I want it to be upbeat in the beginning,” he said in the manner of a disc jockey, turning up the volume of Post Malone’s “I’m Gonna Be” while gesturing with his other hand.

Calling the live show “Taetae FM” -- Taetae is his nickname -- he asked fans to send in stories to share. When a fan asked him to choose between two careers, A or B, without giving any more details, V was perplexed for a second but said A must stand for Army and B for BTS before cautiously picking A.

Woodz tries solo livestreaming

Cho Seungyoun, also known as Woodz, took to V Live after his former bandmates did their own live segments.

Admitting that it was awkward staring into the camera alone for the first time, the musician from the recently disbanded X1 told viewers he had begun working out and was on a diet of meat and brown rice, as he had stated several times in postings on Instastory.

Thanking viewers for the encouragement, he talked about the video that had been uploaded showing the full choreography for “Dream,” a song he wrote for the survival audition program that led to the birth of X1.

“Many seemed to see the full version of the song, so I asked my choreography instructor to help me out,” said the idol, asking fans if they liked the three clips. One showed the full choreography, another showed the choreography broken down into parts, and the third was for bloopers.

He had a hard time deciding what to do for his fans to thank them for sending 100 million hearts for the live segment.

“The number has already topped 80 million. I will have to come up with something fast!” he said, asking the staffers around him for suggestions.

NCT Dream keeps fans up to date

The musicians from NCT Dream said hi to their fans as Chenle held up a picture of his phone with a picture of his absent bandmate Haechan -- so Haechan could join them remotely --before updating the fans on the band’s activities.

“I didn’t expect to take any time off since we are having a concert during the Lunar New Year’s holiday. But we were given a break and I went to China,” Renjun began.

Chenle also went home and had a drink with his father, having recently become a legal adult. Jisung went to an island near Jeju Island, and despite the chilly and windy weather he enjoyed the sunrise as well as the local delicacies. Jeno spent some time with his parents for the first time in a long time, while Jaemin reassured fans that he had fully recovered from his cold.

Then it was time to share the big news: The band’s first EP -- released in Japan to mark its first tour there -- had topped Oricon’s daily chart. They thanked fans with a big round of applause and told them they would unbox the album via V Live.

Tomorrow X Together happy to have something in common

Soobin, Taehyun and Namgyu of Tomorrow X Together picked out some questions sent in by fans and answered them over pizza.

“We have just finished practice,” said Taehyun, gobbling down the food.

“We asked you to ask us anything and picked out some (of your questions) for today,” Soobin said.

Some fans wanted to know which performance from all of last year was the most memorable for the band, and the leader answered that although each and every show was vivid in his memory, the memories of “Crown” had a special meaning for him because it was their debut song.

As for their dream destination for a trip together, Taehyun chose the moon and Beomgyu said he’d probably have to wait until they all retired. Soobin said he would love to visit Daegu with Beomgyu, who is from the city.

The trio was happy when the fans found something they all had in common, besides the fact that they took vocal lessons from the same trainer as trainees: All three of them are the youngest in their families.
