“It may be a little early (for streaming), but please understand that this might be the only time I will be able to take to V Live,” said the birthday boy, walking down what seemed to be a small country road where he was about to film “something fun.”

“I just like being outside and it’s drizzling,” he said, marveling at the sight of the creatures he spotted as he strolled along, crouching down to look at tiny frogs the size of a fingernail. “This is so nice, so beautiful. I want to live someplace like this,” said the performer.

“It feels weird being here when I was in Russia right before,” said Taeyong -- who, as part of NCT 127, returned July 1 only to leave for Japan later the same day.

He showed his fans a red envelope and said he’d written a letter to thank them on his birthday. “I honestly was surprised at what you’ve done for me. Even my mom sent me something … the TV commercial and all those … I didn’t get to see it all myself but saw from pictures. And I thought just doing V Live won’t be enough,” said the idol as he started reading the handwritten letter.

“When I go home, the lights are the only thing that wait for me,” said Jackson after revealing that he had bought another plant, “a cactus named Plant,” to keep him company.

“I want to visit your house someday,” said Youngjae, suggesting that he put the plants in front of the entrance to welcome him home.

“I want to meet your brother,” said Jackson in turn.

“He’s getting married,” Youngjae said, adding that he’d promised to sing at the wedding.

“You are welcome to join,” said Jackson, inviting the fans. As a wedding song, the fans recommended the remix version of the band’s hit “Hard Carry.”

The pair got more serious, talking about their music and their recent concert in Seoul. “I felt something inside me seeing the fans in that huge venue,” said Youngjae, expressing his appreciation for recognizing their efforts.

“Being recognized for your album that you put everything into, that’s the most rewarding,” added Jackson.

After much hesitation, at the urging of her fans and bandmates, Kwon Eunbi replayed a cute movement. She asked at least one member to do it with her, and Yabuki Nako kindly offered to do so. “Don’t come too close,” pleaded Kwon as the camera zoomed in on the two.

Meanwhile, Lee Chaeyeon told fans about her guilty pleasure.

“We had chocolate soup last night,” explained her partner in crime, Jang Wonyoung. “You fork over all the delicious-looking chocolate from a store and throw it into boiling milk. Then bring a spoon and eat up!” she said, gleaming with joy.

This led to a burst of passionate talk about food. Trying to calm themselves, the musicians reminded their fans of the upcoming release of IZ*ONE Remember Z, their first official game. The game will give the player a chance to be the group’s ex-producer and go back in time for a reunion with the 12 band members. It will go on sale in Korea and Japan this summer.

When the bandmates were asked to predict the winner, Keonhee won in a unanimous vote.

“He is the best,” everyone said. “It’s only going to take three seconds for him.”

The first word was “love,” and the main vocalist of the six-piece band sang “I love you” to the tune of Disney’s “It’s a Small World.”

The bandmates couldn’t stand it, and Seoho commented that it “sounds to me like plagiarized songwriting.”

For the next round, though, Keonhee had it easy. For “heaven,” he quickly came up with “open the door to heaven” -- a line from the band’s song “Valkyrie.”

Then Hwanwoong took the baton and made a good start, singing and performing the well-known pinky move from “Eternal Love,” inspired by “promise.” But the main dancer of the rookie band mistakenly credited the hit song to S.E.S instead of Fin.K.L, sending the bandmates into a panic.
