Hyunjin of Stray Kids took to V Live to share his latest playlist with his fans.

“I wanted to talk to you as soon as we came back to Korea but it took a little while,” he said, having just returned from a US tour the previous day.

“I just went to see a Twice concert. I’ve been to their concert once when I was a trainee. … They were so cool and every part of the performance underlined the appeal of the songs,” said Hyunjin. When fans commented that they had seen him at the concert, he asked what he was doing. “I most probably was dancing,” said the boy band’s main dancer with a move from Twice’s “Fancy.”

“I was really impressed. I wished that we would do our best and one day we would also be able to perform at KSPO Dome in front of Stay,” he said referring to the band’s fandom community.

About the recent visit to the US, Hyunjin pacified fans with a promise to upload the pictures very soon. “We had such a good time and there are over 1,000 pictures. And I tried to move them but failed after several attempts. I did get a memory card reader, as some of you suggested, so I will be able to,” he said.

Hyungwon of Monsta X talks to fans before Singapore performance

Hyungwon of Monsta X said hi to fans from his hotel room in Singapore before going onstage.

“I had a little time before the concert,” he said as he began livestreaming, adding that he wanted to chat with his fans since he was rarely awake during the day and it was a nice change. “I am in a good mood, really. Very happy to be able to feel how the time moves.

“I haven’t eaten yet. I have a bento over there but I usually don’t eat breakfast or lunch,” said the performer.

“I slept well on the plane, but when we got to the hotel I passed out the minute I lay down. The others did a lot -- they went swimming and had chili crab. But I woke up at night, ordered room service, practiced and went back to sleep,” he told fans.

“Talking to you before performing, I thought, would lift my spirits even further,” added Hyungwon. The band participated in Hallyu Pop Festa 2019 in Singapore.

GFriend’s Yerin thanks fans for photo show

Yerin of GFriend expressed her gratitude after popping in to see a small exhibition of photographs her fans had taken of her.

“I am not going anywhere. I am just in the car,” she said, laughing. “Actually I am starving but I’m waiting for Hwang Eunbi (SinB). She is doing something and asked me to wait for her. We are having a day off and will go eat something delicious,” said the performer sweetly before whining that she had not eaten anything although it was half past three.

The two-day exhibit showcasing photographs of Yerin was held at a small gallery in southern Seoul, and she popped in with 30 cups of coffee for her fans.

“I should have brought 100, not 30!” she said when fans talked about her surprise appearance. “I really didn’t expect to see so many (visitors)!” she said.

“Looking at the pictures taken over several years, I felt a lump in my throat, although I tried not to show it. I could see that I have grown and also was grateful that the Buddys (our fans) have been there for me throughout, capturing the best moments of my life. The handwritten messages on the wall were so full of genuineness as well,” said Yerin.

Katie talks music, pets

Katie talked about her music and her debut EP, “Log,” in a short interview with Kpop Herald.

“I am super excited and I can’t wait for everybody to listen to music,” she said of the EP, which was released May 22.

She picked out focus track “Thinking Bout You” as her personal favorite. “I guess I love the vibe of the song. I love how it shows the anxiousness when love first starts and you’re just thinking about this person the whole day,” explained the vocalist.

Katie launched into the bluesy number, but only a few verses later she asked herself, “Why do I keep forgetting lyrics?”

Switching back from her mature singing voice to her girly speaking voice, the singer showed off the tattoos of her dogs on her right arm. “(This is the) first one, which is with my parents in Jersey. This one is with me. She moved from Korea to America with me,” she said, full of love for her fur babies.
