GOT7 took fans behind the scenes of filming the music video for “Eclipse,” the lead song from its new EP “Spinning Top: Between Security and Insecurity,” to talk about the new album and what makes them feel secure and insecure.

“We have arrived here without a break. Despite completing last year’s world tour successfully, we feel anxious and insecure at times. We wanted to show our darker side in the music video, confident but anxious,” said Yugyeom.

When asked about what motivates them and gives them confidence, leader JB said goals and dreams give him confidence and security to keep going.

“When we are with our fans, we don’t think about all the negativities, we don’t think about anything else and it’s always gives us energy,” said Mark. “We always have a great time together and I feel like just having our fans there bring real positive energy.

“My people, fans, family and friends are what give me confidence,” said BamBam.

As to what makes them feel insecure, Jinyoung said the burden to do well amid people’s love and expectations makes them anxious sometimes. “But it’s a grateful anxiousness.”

“When things I am working on don’t go well, I feel anxious,” said Youngjae. “When I feel anxious, I accept the status that I am anxious today, and hope tomorrow is a new day.”

Jackson said he feels insecure when he does nothing at home. “I think it’s my personality,” he said. “If I just stop, I feel very insecure.”
He overcomes insecurity by keeping himself very busy, like writing songs, editing lots of videos and thinking about a lot of different ideas.
