K-pop boy band Astro will kick off a world concert tour in March, the sextet's first global tour since their debut in 2016, its management agency said Monday.

The seven-city tour will kick off in Taipei on March 16 and move to four American cities -- New York, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco -- later in March, according to Fantagio Music.

The group will head back to Asia to throw two more concerts, in Hong Kong and Bangkok, on March 30 and April 27, respectively.

"As it is Astro's first world tour, (the members) are making huge efforts," the agency said. "Please wait and expect as the group is planning to put on great shows."

The six-piece group debuted in February, 2016, with their debut EP "Spring Up." Last week, the band released its first full-length album "All Light," fronted by "All Night." (Yonhap)
