Momoland’s ‘Bboom Bboom’ best song of 2018: Soompi

“Bboom Bboom” from the girl group Momoland is the No. 1 K-pop song of 2018, according to Soompi, a major K-pop media platform.

After its rise to popularity in the first half, “Bboom Bboom” continued to top the charts for the whole year, winning against Blackpink’s “Ddu-du Ddu-du” and BTS’ “Idol.”

Momoland earned six trophies in 2018 for “Bboom Bboom” and another song, “Baam.” The band was named “discovery of the year” at the Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony organized by CJ ENM. Momoland also drew acclaim at the Asia Artist Awards, the Melon Music Awards, the MBC Plus and Genie Music Awards, the Korea Popular Music Awards and the Golden Disc Awards.

The music video for “Bboom Bboom” garnered more than 300 million views on YouTube, making it the most popular video of 2018.

Momoland will greet its global fans at an official fan meeting slated for Jan. 25 in the Philippines.
