Winner dominates charts with ‘Millions’

Winner’s single “Millions” topped local and global charts upon its release Wednesday.
“Millions” ranked No. 1 on all Korean music streaming channels as of Thursday 11 a.m., including Melon, Mnet, Genie and Naver Music. The song has held the top spot on Melon, Mnet and Genie since Wednesday 11 p.m.

The four-piece act’s song has also been well-received abroad, topping iTunes song charts in 19 countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-suk congratulated the group on its achievement, writing “Winner is a winner!!! No1!” on his Instagram account.
He also expressed pride that songs by three YG artists, Winner’s “Millions,” Mino’s “Fiance” and Jennie’s “SOLO,” ranked Nos. 1, 3, and 5 respectively on Melon’s charts.
Written and composed by Winner’s leader Seungyoon, “Millions” is a song with a warm melodic guitar riff, featuring the message that there are a “million” reasons for listeners to be loved.
The band is set to hold “Everywhere Tour Encore in Seoul” on Jan. 5, followed by its North American tour.
