BTS took home nine trophies at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards, the newly launched K-pop music awards show co-organized by television network MBC and streaming site Genie.

The seven boys were the last to grace the red carpet at the grand affair, having already made headlines in October when they announced plans to share the stage with US singer-songwriter Charlie Puth.

BTS won two major awards, artist of the year and digital album of the year. The band was also nominated for two other major awards, song of the year and best-selling artist of the year.

BTS and Charlie Puth each performed one of each other’s hit songs: Puth’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore” and BTS’ “Fake Love.”

Bang Sihyuk, CEO and executive producer at BTS’ representing label Big Hit Entertainment, won best producer and the band’s choreographer, Son Sung-deuk, won best choreographer.
