K-pop rookie girl group LOONA has won the Best Korean Act from the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) 2018, its agency Blockberry Creative said Monday.

The award category started in 2013, and its previous winners, determined by votes cast by global K-pop fans, were EXO, BTS, B.A.P and GFRIEND.

The 12-member act had worked in subunits before making its debut in its entirety in August when it released the album "+ +." The album sold 50,000 copies.

It is scheduled to stage concerts titled "LOONA Studio in Seoul" in MUV Hall in Seoul from Nov. 23-25. (Yonhap)
