New girl group S#aFLA teased its concept for its upcoming debut album on Monday.

Vine Entertainment, representing the four-member group, unveiled teaser photos of each band member via its official social media channel.

In the photos, each member looked elegant and chic. Yoojin and Seulgi were both graceful and charming in sleeveless purple tops, yet each had a completely different style. Meanwhile, Soohyun and Jisun appeared in black retro dresses that made them look stylish and mysterious.

The group’s name, S#aFLA, stands for “sharp and flat,” the five black keys on the piano. The five black keys in one octave produce a sound similar to Korean traditional music.

“The group’s name became S#aFLA with the will to become a global K-pop group with the most Korean-styled music,” said Vine Entertainment.

The group, which has been dubbed “the next Mamamoo” for its powerful dance and vocal skills, will make its debut Oct. 18 at noon with the release of its first album on local music platforms.
