3 winners announced for iKON dance cover contest

Three winning teams were announced Thursday in the dance cover contest for iKON’s “Killing Me.”

YG Entertainment, representing the boy band iKON, announced the contest winners on its official blog and social media: ST.319, OOPS! Crew and K-Boy.

Vietnam’s famous dance crew ST.319 won first place with a powerful, eye-catching video that got over 320,000 views on YouTube. Second place went to Vietnam’s seven-member female band OOPS! Crew, whose video drew praise from the public. The K-Boys, representing Thailand, placed third with a performance that just about perfectly replicated the original.

News of the dance cover contest went viral Aug. 20, as soon as YG Entertainment posted the official announcement on its blog along with an iKON video demonstrating the band’s amazing choreography. Fans from all over the world took part through Sept. 30, when the deadline passed.

The boy band recently dropped its latest mini-album, “New Kids: The Final,” the last in its “New Kids” series, topping the iTunes chart in 25 countries almost instantly.
