Singer and actor Nickhun has been named “Asia Superstar,” at the Thailand Headlines Person of the Year, an awards show hosted by Thai magazine Mangu.

The show, in its sixth year, gives recognition to figures in various fields including politicians and businesspeople. Nickhun’s strong presence in the region saw the entertainer take home the award.

Speaking at the event, the member of 2PM thanked his fans for the support that has lasted a full decade.

It is not the first time that Nickhun has received an award at the event. In 2015, he received the IME Chinese Online Media Popular Award.

Nickhun has recently appeared in a number of variety shows in Korea, including JTBC’s “Team Chef” and tvN’s “Galileo: The Space Awakens.”

Thai film “Brother of the Year,” in which he starred, has been one of the most successful films released in Thailand this year.

Nichkhun is scheduled to hold his first solo concerts in Japan in November and December.
