RM stressed the message of “self-love” in BTS’ most recent single “Idol.”

The BTS leader explained that while it’s easy to overlook the lyrics, the words are actually “everything (BTS) wanted to say.”

“It doesn’t bother me what people call me. I am who I am,” he said. “It’s sad that we live in a world where we need so much explanation just to be ourselves.”

“We wrote this song and we are singing this song to love ourselves,” he said, calling listeners’ attention to the song’s lyrics.
