iKON returned with “Killing Me” Thursday to complete its “New Kids” trilogy, roughly six months after the January mega-hit “Love Scenario” which continues to chart high to this day.

Billboard published an extensive cover on the band’s new extended play, in which US-based entertainment media deemed the song “haunting,” and “a dramatic return.”

“Killing Me” is “unlike most K-pop songs,” Billboard said, in that it “forgoes a titular earworm hook,” choosing instead a more “dramatic declaration.”

The Billboard-acclaimed “New Kids: Continue” fronted by “Killing Me” helped iKON achieve a new feat by topping iTunes’ albums chart in 24 countries as of Friday.
