Singer-turned-actress Uee has confirmed her role in the upcoming weekend drama “My Beautiful Side.”
The TV series will start airing on KBS2 in September.

Uee will play a woman who wants to be a teacher. After finding out that her parents are not biologically related to her and are murderers, she embarks on a journey to find the truth.

Casting is still in progress, but actor Lee Jang-woo appears to be likely to take the male lead role.

A former member of the popular K-pop act After School, Uee has pursued acting, starring in various dramas including “Ojakgyo Family,” “High Society” and “Marriage Contract.”
