“I keep having this weird dream. I’m under the sea, looking for something or playing with the dolphins. It feels too real to be a dream. What could this mean?” narrates Chungha as the 90-second-long trailer begins.

“Hi, all, I have something I need to tell you. I’m not joking. I’m totally serious. I know it’s hard to believe but I’m actually a mermaid,” Chungha tells her fans in what is seemingly a live broadcast.

The scene now cuts to a photo shoot. “What’s with the mermaid theme?” asks a staff member. “Don’t you know? Chungha called herself a mermaid and it’s created quite a buzz,” replies another.

As Chungha holds a fish bowl, the fish inside it start talking to her, “Princess, it’s us.”

“Did you just talk to me?” Chungha asks, bewildered.

“You revealed your identity as a mermaid, which is a taboo. Now you’re cursed. You’ll turn into a fish a week later,” the fish explain.

“Is there a way I can undo the curse?” she asks.

“You have to find the bluest blue,” the fish say.

“What does that mean?” she ponders and flies to Los Angeles to find the “bluest blue.”

The trailer serves as an introduction to the theme of her third extended play “Blooming Blue” set for release Wednesday.
