Twice dances all the way to the top of the charts
Twice released its title track “Dance the Night Away” and took the No. 1 spot on 7 Korean music charts.
On Monday, Twice made its summer comeback by releasing the act’s new album “Summer Nights.”
The up-beat tempo of “Dance the Night Away” that is meant to showcase the group’s youth and happiness was extremely well-received by listeners. As of this morning, the song reach No. 1 on the music charts of Melon, Naver, Mnet, Genie, Olleh, Soribada, and Bugs.
Abroad, the track also found its way to the No. 1 spot on iTunes in 6 overseas regions, including Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore as of this morning. The album as a whole ranked well on iTunes as well, specifically in seven other countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The MV, featuring the girls playfully dancing on the beach, was also released along with the song and has achieved nearly 16 million views in just 12 hours.
Success is no unfamiliar concept to this nine-member group. While having only debuted around three years ago, Twice has topped charts with their songs like “TT,” “Heart Shaker,” and “What is Love’”
This new album includes nine tracks, including titles like “Chillax,” “Shot Thru the Heart,” and “Stuck.”
