Seo Kang-joon will star in the upcoming drama series “The Third Charm” (unofficial title).

The actor confirmed his role in the rom-com series that will air on cable channel JTBC in September.

With model-turned-actress Esom, the two will play a couple who has been dating for 12 years.

The story starts with the two meeting when they are 20-year-olds and ends when they are 32. Their relationship as 27-year-olds will be depicted, too.

The Friday-Saturday series hopes to depict how lovers can find each other attractive even after 12 years of dating, the production team said.

Seo gained fame through the hit tvN series “Cheese in the Trap.” He currently stars in KBS2’s preproduced sci-fi drama “Are You Human Too?”
