July marks the return of big-name girl groups, two of which are the 7-year-old veteran Apink and the relatively rookie yet widely popular Twice.

Apink is up against tough competition as it gears up for the new album “One & Six” set to be release in full on Monday.

This year marks the group’s eighth year since its debut, and its agency Plan A Entertainment promised a “more mature and sophisticated” look and music with the upcoming album.

The lead track “Not Even One” expresses disenchantment with love in the aftermath of a failed romance.

The 30-second sneak peek of the music video unveiled Sunday portrays the six members in pensive contemplation.

While Apink has its fair share of hit songs under its belt, most notably the 2014 dance pop “Mr. Chu,” the six-piece act is set to compete against hit maker Twice, whose second album of the year is scheduled for release only a week later, on July 9.
