Jung So-min to star in remake of hit Japanese series

Actress Jung So-min is to feature in upcoming drama series “100 Million Stars From the Sky” (tentative title) on cable channel tvN.

The new series is a remake of hit Japanese Fuji TV series “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes” which aired there in 2002. The plot centers on a chef and a writer who are destined to fall in love with each other.

Jung rose to stardom, starring in hit drama series “Father is Strange” in 2017. She is currently in a romantic relationship with her co-star from the work, actor Lee Joon.

Singer-turned-actor Seo In-guk is to take the male lead role. It will be his second time working with director Yoo Jae-won, following “High School King” in 2014.

The romantic-comedy drama series is set to air in the second half of this year.
