Nara of Hello Venus is to star in an upcoming drama series “Dear Judge” (tentative title).

Nara is to take the role of a news presenter in the Wednesday-Thursday series. The character is the girlfriend of a talented judge, who has an identical twin brother, a six-time convicted criminal. She is to be involved with the criminal brother as well.

Actor Yoon Shi-yoon has been cast for the main role, playing both the judge and the criminal.

“Dear Judge” aims to show the differences between the justice at court and the justice that people usually think of.

Nara, originally a singer, has been pursuing an acting career as well, taking the role of a prosecutor in TV series “Suspicious Partner” last year. She also played the role of an actress in the hit series “My Mister.”

The courtroom drama series is to air in July on SBS.
