Max of K-pop duo TVXQ learned from chef Choi Hyun-seok how to sprinkle salt in the latest episode of the duo’s variety show “72 Hours of TVXQ” aired via Naver’s V app Monday.

The reality show features the two singers taking on new occupations for 72 hours, with U-Know working as a kindergarten teacher and Max working in the kitchen of chef Choi’s restaurant.

One of the most renowned chefs in Korea, Choi is known for his exaggerated movements, especially the way he sprinkles salt. He was featured on JTBC’s cooking variety show “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.”

As a trainee, Max was allowed to taste a salmon steak dish that is served at the restaurant.

The singer was also offered the chance to grill the steak. He had to season the salmon with salt and pepper.

While watching Max sprinkle salt, Choi advised him to sprinkle it from a greater height above the dish.

“It (the salt) will get lumpy if you sprinkle from near the dish,” he said.

Taking Choi’s advice, Max successfully finished cooking the dish.

“It was so savory in my mouth that I couldn’t believe it,” the singer said after tasting the dish.

“72 Hours” airs every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m. on V app and Naver TV.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
